ENUGU; The quest for the sovereign state of Biafra runs through the blood of some young men in the Southeastern part of Nigeria, and unfortunately , like Gerald Ezema  many families  such as Ezemas of Enugu state  are paying the ultimate price.
Pa  Sylvester Ezema is a veteran of the   Nigerian  civil war who fought on the side of the secessionist  Republic of Biafra between 1967 and 1970 when the bloody conflict ended.

Like most Easterners, Pa Ezema adores the Biafran Leader, Dim Odumegu Ojokwu and is prepared to sacrifice his life  and that of his entire family  for the actualisation of the sovereign state of Biafra.
It’s this passion that drove him and thousands others to join the Biafra Zionist movement in 2012. Three of his children  were to follow suit together and with thousands others, they gather every year to commemorate the declaration for the sovereign state of  Biafra by Dim Odumegu Ojokwu on June 20,1967.
The peaceful  protest  had often turned violent as  the Nigerian security forces  bent on quashing the revolution,  usually clash  with the protesters many were arrested and many wounded.
It was one of such arrest  that  a source from inside told Wetellnaija.com that lead us to carry an investigation on the matter to know the extent of the persecution most of these people have endured.
For the case of Pa Ezema’s whose two sons were among those that were silently murdered by nigeria security forces in their custody and the  third child  who goes by the name Steven has gone missing since this unlawful arrest and his whereabouts remain unknown till date.  But instead of dampening his spirit for the Biafran revolution, the war veteran was said to have persuaded his last and fourth child. Gerald to enlist in the revolution.
Gerald Ezema  immediately developed a passion for the Biafran revolution and found a forte in the Indigenous People Of Biafra [IPOB] led by Nnamdi Kanu.
He is now together with other known IPOB cell  leaders hunted by security forces with an aim to capure and torture any man or woman empathetic to the Biafran cause.
